It’s suggested that it is due to low back pain and diminished abdominal muscles during and after pregnancy that establishes the spine for this condition. (3) One study stresses the fact that weak abdominal muscles affect the stability of the spine and likely play a part in the condition called degenerative spondylolisthesis.
